NHS Scotland is offering a Band 5 Treatment Room Nurse position within the Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) Service at Burntisland Health Centre. The role involves working in a general practice setting to deliver a variety of nursing tasks such as wound management, venepuncture, and injections while ensuring high clinical care standards. Ideal candidates must be registered as Adult/General Nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, possess strong communication and time management skills, and demonstrate adaptability and ongoing professional development. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require covering other treatment rooms across Fife.
The position is part of a Fife-wide service, aligning with NHS Scotland's commitment to providing person-centered care. Successful applicants will need to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and confirm their right to work in the UK if they're not UK or Irish nationals. We are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity which has arisen within Fife Health and Social Care (H&SC) Partnership for a Band 5 Treatment Room Nurse to work within the CTAC Service within General Practice at Burntisland Health Centre.
You will be based within a GP surgery, working in clinic to provide care and treatment including wound management, venepuncture, compression bandages, doppler assessment, injections, and a range of evolving nursing tasks - ensuring clinical care and quality standards are met. The Treatment Room Nurse will provide safe, effective, and person centred practice to meet the needs of people in Fife.
You must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, be adaptable to change and evidence continuing personal development
In applying for this role you will be an Adult/General Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
You will have the necessary skills and experience necessary to work within a Primary Care setting, to deliver high quality standards of care and be able to work as part of a multi-professional team.
You must have flexibility as may be required to cover other treatment rooms within Fife also, as CTAC is a Fife-wide service.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
