The Healthcare Support Worker - GEMS position at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust involves working within a newly established Frailty service aimed at providing specialized care to older patients with Frailty in the Emergency Department. As a full-time Band 3 role, the successful candidate will join the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Service (GEMS) team, delivering direct patient care and supporting nursing staff in facilitating timely interventions, admission avoidance, and early comprehensive geriatric assessments. The role requires participation in a seven-day working pattern.

Key responsibilities include assisting patients with mobility, comfort, hygiene, and overall well-being, while documenting care and reporting any changes in patients' conditions. The Healthcare Support Worker will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care and addressing individual health needs, thereby enhancing the quality of care for frail and older adults in the hospital setting.
