The Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Dental Officer to provide comprehensive dental care to adult and pediatric patients within their Specialist Dental Service in Wellingborough. The ideal candidate will be GDC registered with an NHS performer number, and experience in Special Care Dentistry is preferred but not mandatory. This role involves treating patients who struggle to access general dental services due to significant medical conditions, disabilities, or other barriers. Responsibilities include delivering primary dental care, offering treatment under conscious sedation or general anesthesia, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

The position offers flexible working hours totaling 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility of working across multiple locations, including domiciliary care for housebound patients. The Dental Officer will also be responsible for maintaining clinical records, adhering to departmental standards, supervising dental care professionals, participating in training, and contributing to continuous professional education. The Trust emphasises a person-centered approach and supports innovation and growth within their integrated health services.
