The University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Patient Administrator in Poole to provide essential outpatient services. This role includes booking patient appointments, liaising with healthcare professionals, and managing communication with various departments. Administrators will be stationed at Canford House, Poole Hospital, or Christchurch Hospital and must be flexible to work across these locations as needed. Key responsibilities involve delivering excellent customer service, performing data entry, assisting patients, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.

Candidates should possess good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics and NVQ Level 3 in customer service or administration is required, along with relevant clerical and IT experience. The role demands teamwork, professionalism, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly. The department serves approximately 200,000 patients annually and offers a supportive team atmosphere, with working hours between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM on a rotational shift basis.
