Job description
To support and deputise for the Ward Sister to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
Also to carry out the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the ward/department.
To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post registration students and /or providing specialist knowledge.

Belgrave Ward is a very busy general cardiology ward and is part of the newly formed Cardiology Clinical Academic Group to further developments in Cardiology.
We now have a permanent position for a Junior Sister (band 6) to provide day to day leadership of this busy 24 bedded cardiology ward.
Belgrave Ward is a dynamic ward that is changing with the increasing demands on the St Georges Cardiology service, a regional tertiary centre delivering high quality care.
You will be expected to work as an excellent role model both for clinical skills and leadership.
You will be part of multi-disciplinary team working together to provide quality service provision, excellent clinical management and safe and effective discharge processes.

St Georges, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St Georges Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.
