The role of Neonatal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Psychological Therapist at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust focuses on supporting the emotional and psychological wellbeing of families with infants in the neonatal unit, as well as the staff involved in their care. The position entails providing assessment and evidence-based interventions—both individually and in groups—tailored to enhance parent and infant wellbeing during their time in the neonatal setting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a trauma-informed care environment, while also benefiting from appropriate clinical supervision and high-quality training programs.

The Neonatal Psychological Service operates across two hospital sites in Luton and Bedford, working with both families and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive support. Candidates should expect a friendly and inclusive work environment that emphasises the Trust's commitment to staff wellbeing and professional growth. Travel between these sites may be necessary, and the role is subject to a probationary period of six months.
