We are seeking to recruit a Band 7 Senior nurse in Critical Care. As a highly experienced Senior Nurse with proven experience at Band 6 level in Critical Care and Post Graduate Critical Care qualification you will provide nursing leadership to the team.

As part of the senior nursing team in Critical Care you will support the operational strategy of a large Critical Care department working closely with our Critical Care Unit in Scarborough. Staff recruitment, development and retention is a priority in Critical Care. You will lead a large appraisal team to deliver high and supported standards of professional practice.

As a senior nurse, you will have responsibility for ensuring that high standards of care are delivered to patients, and that practice is underpinned by a clinical governance agenda.

The monitoring, review and development of clinical standards is crucial to this role, along with the ability to lead on change and service development. Clinical expertise is crucial in this role to ensure operational effectiveness and safety is required. Please refer to the enclosed job description and person specification.
