The Outpatient Appointment Coordinator at Velindre University NHS Trust in Cardiff is responsible for delivering a high-quality service within the Outpatient Service Appointment Booking Team. The role involves managing all outpatient activities efficiently, including the booking and processing of new patient, follow-up, and pre-treatment appointments, while adhering to clinical instructions and departmental processes. The coordinator will primarily work independently, handle considerable patient contact via telephone, and must exhibit excellent communication skills to address patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns empathetically.

This fixed-term position for 12 months requires a candidate with prior experience in NHS Wales Patient Administration Systems and a strong understanding of outpatient pathways. Successful applicants will possess good organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks amid rapidly changing demands. While the ability to speak Welsh is desirable, it is not mandatory, making the role accessible to a broader range of candidates.
