ScotRail is offering a 12-month Modern Apprenticeship in Customer Service based in Aberdeen, starting in August 2025. The position primarily involves working as a Customer Service Assistant at station Gatelines, where the apprentice will ensure a smooth customer journey by assisting passengers with ticket purchases, inquiries, and maintaining a safe environment. This role provides the opportunity to develop essential customer service skills such as effective communication and problem-solving while earning a relevant vocational qualification.

The apprenticeship welcomes individuals aged 18 to 24, or up to 29 for those with disabilities or care experience, and requires a minimum of SCQF Level 4 qualifications including English. Candidates should be motivated, willing to learn, and ready to attend regular training sessions and reviews. In return, apprentices will gain valuable experience in the rail industry, work in a supportive team, and contribute to ScotRail’s commitment to diversity and sustainability.
