The East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Support Secretary (Band 3) for the Oncology and Haematology department at Ipswich Hospital, working 28 hours per week. This role involves providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to consultants and team members in a dynamic office environment. Candidates should possess strong typing and audio skills, effective time management abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with prior NHS experience being a plus.

Key responsibilities include managing team mailboxes, processing referrals and appointments, typing correspondence and clinical documents, and maintaining efficient filing systems for both electronic and manual records. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player, capable of managing tasks under pressure while ensuring accurate documentation and data management to support patient care and audits. Flexible working days can be discussed during the interview, with a preference for inclusion of Fridays.
