The successful candidate will work closely with various departments within the hospital, maintaining vital communication between Emergency Departments, Acute Care Units, wards, and clinics. This role aims to enhance patient flow and expedite discharge procedures, making it integral to the transport team and overall hospital operations. To provide proactive and responsive practical and administrative support to ensure the efficient booking of transport for non-emergency patients.
To supervise the running of day to day Patient Transport and be EEAST's on site lead managing and prioritising demand during busy periods, whilst complying with the local Acute Trusts expectations.
To focus on operationally supporting the Hospital to expedite patients home through patient transport.
The post holder will be expected to efficiently liaise with internal teams at the hospital and the Non-Emergency Control room.

The post holder will be an integrated member of the transport team, maintaining the crucial link between ED, Acute Care Units, wards, clinics and the site team.
