Linden Hall Surgery in Newport is seeking a motivated Healthcare Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient management and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. A qualification such as an NVQ Level 3/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support, along with experience in Primary or Secondary Care, is essential. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are important as the role is evolving.

Key responsibilities include performing new patient health checks, ECG recording, phlebotomy, chaperoning, and managing laboratory samples. The Healthcare Assistant will also maintain surgical equipment and monitoring processes, assist in patient health assessments, and support GPs during minor operations. Furthermore, the role involves promoting health and well-being awareness, collecting health-related data, and performing various clinical tasks such as blood pressure checks and minor dressings.
