The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing continuous care to critically ill patients while supervising and mentoring junior staff and learners. The role requires maintaining high-quality nursing care in compliance with established policies, ensuring a safe and effective practice that supports both patient needs and personal development. There is an emphasis on vaccination for those in face-to-face roles, although current legislation regarding COVID-19 vaccinations is under review.

Band 5 Staff Nurse in Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU)
We are recruiting for experienced band 5 nurses to join our world class Adult Cardiac Critical Care Unit at St Barts Hospital. You will have the opportunity to rotate through three critical care units that care for varying groups of patients, Post op cardiothoracic, HAC, ECMO ,Vascular, and Cancer patients.
The Government has announced that the legal requirement for all NHS workers in England, to be double vaccinated, is currently under legislative review.
We do however encourage those in roles that have face to face contact with patients to be double vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless they are medically exempt), and are continuing to support the vaccination uptake for all staff as this remains the best line of defence.
