CSH Surrey is seeking a Band 5 Special School Nurse to join the Special School Nursing Service in Leatherhead, effective from April 1, 2025, as part of a TUPE transfer. The role involves caring for children and young people (ages 2-11) with severe learning disabilities and complex health needs at Woodlands School. Candidates must have at least one year of post-registration clinical experience in a relevant field.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to medical emergencies
  • Training educational staff on nursing procedures (e.g., gastrostomy, seizure management)
  • Medication management
  • Engaging in care planning, report writing, and nurse-led clinics
  • Participating in clinical supervision and multi-agency meetings

The position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available. The ideal candidate should be compassionate and dedicated to enhancing health outcomes for children and young people in a special educational setting.
