The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Nurse/Paramedic) role at HUC’s St Albans Integrated Urgent Care Hub involves providing high-quality care to patients presenting with acute and chronic illnesses or injuries. Successful candidates will work within a multi-disciplinary team, conducting clinical assessments, diagnosing, treating, and discharging patients aged over one year who have been triaged and referred by their GP or through the 111 service. The position requires strong streaming and triage experience, along with the ability to interpret ECGs, manage minor injuries and illnesses, and recognize the need for emergency interventions when necessary.

The service operates from 09:00 to 18:00 year-round, except on Christmas Day, with staff expected to adhere to key performance indicators and engage in ongoing professional development. Communication and collaboration with colleagues and patients are crucial, as is the commitment to continuous practice improvement through audit and research. Note that candidates must have full rights to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
