Newport Pagnell Medical Centre has a fantastic opportunity for a full-time healthcare assistant to join the practice.

Working under the direct supervision of the lead nurse, and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, you will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

If you are a qualified and experienced healthcare assistant looking for a fresh and exciting challenge, we would love to hear from you.

The healthcare assistant will be able to apply their clinical skills and knowledge to carry out high quality practice within designated clinical areas such as:

  • venepuncture, phlebotomy checks
  • new patient health checks;
  • clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms;
  • preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations;
  • providing valuable health promotion and education for service users, their families and carers;

The role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience, skills and competence, requiring you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
