Rethink Mental Illness is seeking a Senior Health and Wellbeing Coach (SHWBC) for their secure forensic inpatient wards at Ridgeway, Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough. In this role, the SHWBC will lead a team of Health and Wellbeing Coaches (HWBC) to deliver therapeutic interventions and provide high-quality mental health support to the secure hospital population. Responsibilities include coordinating team activities, engaging with management, ensuring quality assurance, and empowering HWBCs to offer effective care. The Senior HWBC will foster therapeutic relationships with clients, support their recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care during imprisonment and transition back into the community.

The position also involves facilitating workshops, maintaining professional links with various services, and promoting peer support among inmates. The Senior HWBC will be responsible for developing strategies for patient engagement, ensuring effective communication of support services, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The role emphasises a collaborative, person-centered approach to mental health care while upholding Rethink's core values of respect and equity.
