The role of Healthcare Support Worker at South Walks House Outpatients in Dorchester involves working as part of the outpatient nursing team at the new assessment center. The position requires motivated Band 2 Healthcare Assistants with strong communication skills to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary environment. Candidates should be adaptable, eager to learn, and possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Autonomy as well as teamwork will be essential, with a focus on maintaining patient privacy and dignity. There is a need for flexibility in working hours, potentially including weekends, and the role may require rotation through other outpatient areas. An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated Band 2 Healthcare Assistant's with excellent communication skills to work as part of the Outpatient nursing team in our new and exciting Outpatient Department at South Walks OPD Assessment Centre. This innovated project promotes new ways of working to deliver a more collaborative Multidisciplinary approach to working in the Outpatient setting.

Outpatient's is a diverse, multidisciplinary environment which requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own skills.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to give high quality nursing care and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will consistently ensure that a patient's privacy, dignity and psychological well-being is maintained, at all times, as well as the care given is patient centred.

You need to have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. We require individuals who are forward thinking, well organised and have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.

The successful candidate may be required to rotate through the other Outpatients areas, main DCH site and Weymouth Hospital to support during times of A/L and sickness. Recent Outpatient Experience would be an advantage but not essential.

In order to meet the needs of the service, the working pattern is flexible. In the future this may include weekend working.
