Director of Clinical Services | Spire South Bank Hospital | Worcester | Full time 37.5 hours a week | Permanent | Competitive salary, dependant on experience plus benefits

As Director of Clinical Services you will work predominantly Monday - Friday around the core hours of 9-5, however will be flexible to meet the needs of the department, as well as taking part as the Senior Management on call system. - You will ensure that clinical governance, patient safety and satisfaction are at top of agenda on a daily basis - Work closely with the Governance Manager and your Heads of Department to ensure that we are fully compliant with CQC regulations at all times - Ensuring good infection prevention control across the hospital - You will lead your teams on quality Improvement strategies - Lead and implement the hospital's clinical strategy and provide support and input to the hospital's overall business strategy - Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of Spire Healthcare - Provide clear focus on business results, maintaining the balance between quality healthcare delivery and sound financial performance - Support the commercial development of clinical services including actively creating new business and innovative opportunities Who we're looking for

As Director of Clinical Services you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and further expansion of clinical services at Spire South Bank whilst overseeing a clinical team of Senior Department Lead's across the hospital. For the right person with a drive to progress, this position offers excellent potential career prospects at the hospital on a more permanent basis and offers full support and guidance given on a 1 to 1 basis from our Hospital Director Spire South Bank Hospital is a state-of-the-art private hospital. We have over 30 years' experience providing personalised healthcare with fast access to consultations in a wide range of specialities, supported by some of the most advanced technology including the latest imaging scanners and a laparoscopic (keyhole) theatre. Duties and responsibilities As Director of Clinical Services you will work predominantly Monday - Friday around the core hours of 9-5, however will be flexible to meet the needs of the department, as well as taking part as the Senior Management on call system. - You will ensure that clinical governance, patient safety and satisfaction are at top of agenda on a daily basis - Work closely with the Governance Manager and your Heads of Department to ensure that we are fully compliant with CQC regulations at all times - Ensuring good infection prevention control across the hospital - You will lead your teams on quality Improvement strategies - Lead and implement the hospital's clinical strategy and provide support and input to the hospital's overall business strategy - Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of Spire Healthcare - Provide clear focus on business results, maintaining the balance between quality healthcare delivery and sound financial performance - Support the commercial development of clinical services including actively creating new business and innovative opportunities Who we're looking for - Registered Nurse or equivalent healthcare professional with a valid NMC or HPC registration, without any restrictions - Previous experience in managing a senior team of clinical professionals - Strong clinical knowledge of a hospital, ideally with surgical ward experience - You will utilise your leadership skills to demonstrate good clinical practice - You must be willing and clinically able to partake in clinical duties as and when required - Strong understanding of clinical governance is essential - Innovative and dynamic thinker with an enthusiastic approach - Completed mentorship or teaching qualification - Completed management qualification would be an advantage, but not essential We are open to applications from both experienced Senior Management Professionals as well as experienced Department Lead level looking to take the next step in their career with full support from our Hospital Director.
