The role of First Contact Practitioner/MSK Physiotherapist at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is a part-time, fixed-term position (28 hours per week) for 12 months, focusing on providing specialized physiotherapy services primarily to adults with musculoskeletal issues. The successful candidate will perform advanced assessments, formulate diagnoses and treatment plans independently, and directly engage with patients without prior GP contact. This position requires collaboration with the management team to ensure high standards of service provision while implementing clinical governance practices.

The practitioner will work within the outpatient physiotherapy team, which includes specialists in chronic pain, rheumatology, and hand conditions, providing care for various musculoskeletal conditions, including post-surgical patients. Key responsibilities include delivering expert clinical care, mentoring colleagues, and participating in service evaluation and research initiatives.
