The Recovery Support Worker (RSW) role within the Kingston Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment Team (KCR&HTT) at South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust involves providing direct physical and psychological care to clients experiencing mental health crises in a community setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the RSW engages clients in crisis, assists in assessment and treatment, and helps in planning robust discharge and aftercare. Responsibilities include offering practical and emotional support to clients and their families, promoting independent living, monitoring clients' progress, and maintaining effective communication within the team.

The position requires a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits, with a commitment to a shift-based schedule. The RSW collaborates with nursing staff and other professionals to ensure high standards of care while advocating for clients' rights and promoting social inclusion. The role also involves participation in team meetings, documentation of client interactions, and adherence to safety protocols and policies. The ideal candidate will be proactive in their approach to client support, recognizing signs of relapse, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the service.
