CASELOAD MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ROLE MODEL
The Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (XR07) position at Leeds Teaching Hospitals involves practicing as an independent specialist in paediatric dermatology, providing patient-centred, evidence-based clinical care. The role encompasses managing a defined caseload, conducting clinical assessments, developing and implementing care programs, and ensuring high standards of care while promoting cost-effective resource use. The successful candidate will support interdisciplinary collaboration, deliver training for staff and families, and lead initiatives for service improvement.

Candidates should have a strong background in paediatric nursing with experience or a willing openness to dermatology, and hold a degree-level education. Key responsibilities include leading independent nurse-led clinics, mentoring nursing staff, and actively participating in the development and implementation of care standards for the service. Leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously are crucial, as the position involves line managing a team and overseeing both clinical and operational aspects of the paediatric dermatology service at Chapel Allerton Hospital and sometimes at Leeds General Infirmary.
