The role of IT Support Technician at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in Taunton involves delivering essential digital services within a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include managing and resolving IT support calls, handling installations and configurations of IT hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and promoting best practices in technology use. Candidates should have an NVQ level 3 in IT or equivalent experience, a good standard of education (GCSEs in Maths and English), sound technical knowledge of desktop PC hardware and software, and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with iOS devices and prior IT support experience in a corporate or public sector setting is preferred. The position requires travel within Somerset and participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
