This crucial role, will involve working alongside the CAMHS Service Manager and will lead the CAMHS Connect clinical staff team in daily operational troubleshooting and management of the Connect team. Whilst this role is predominately operational, a clinical background in CAMHS is required in order to support the Team in operational troubleshooting. An understanding of the offer across the wider-CAMHS system through the THRIVE Framework is key to this role. As the Team Lead for CAMHS Connect, you will be expected to manage and have operational oversight on the CAMHS Initial Assessment process, the Screening process as well as the CAMHS Connect Telephone line.

You will be expected to offer Clinical and Operational Supervision (CLOPS) supervision to all clinical staff. The postholder will be expected to hold a Clinical Caseload for patients who required complex wider-system involvement (e.g. those transitioning to Core CAMHS from CAMHS Inpatients/Intensive Outreach Team) and those children and young people (CYP) approaching 'transition' (17+ years). This includes the provision of direct delivery of evidence-based interventions to support the recovery of CYP referred to the service, utilising skills and knowledge of child and adolescent mental health practice. This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards.

As part of the role, you will also be involved in service development, including implementation/production of standard operating procedures and project implementation. Being actively involved in offering participation and co-production work will be fundamental elements of this post.

An understanding of capacity and demand management within the team is crucial as a key element of the role includes working closely with the Service Manager to develop ways of working which are changeable depending on service needs.

If required, you may be expected to undertake further training.
