The Elective Admissions Manager (Band 6) at Steeton with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust will oversee the performance and sustainability of Planned Care Access Targets, including Referral to Treatment (RTT) and cancer standards. This position involves providing leadership and management to ensure high standards of service delivery, tracking patients on an RTT pathway, and managing complex information regarding pre-operative and operating theatre admissions. The manager will coordinate administrative tasks, handle patient and GP queries, and implement action plans to achieve waiting time targets, while also supervising staff and managing budgets effectively.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the role includes monitoring waiting lists, validating data, and collaborating with clinical teams. The Elective Admissions Manager will also address complaints, develop communication systems, participate in policy reviews, and provide training to staff. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for managing a diverse team, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, and driving continuous improvements in service delivery.
