Band 8a: £53,755 to £60,504 a year per annum pro rata  FIXED TERM

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust are in the exciting position to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated specialist pharmacist for clinical trials.

Sheffield Children's already takes part in research on a national and international scale, collaborating with universities and hospitals to make discoveries which can help prevent, diagnose and treat conditions that affect children and young people. We have an ambitious Research and Innovation Strategy and are increasing our already extensive specialist paediatric clinical trial portfolio. The already well-established pharmacy clinical trials team is an integral part of the multidisciplinary research team delivering clinical trial treatments.

We are seeking a confident pharmacist with drive and excellent communication skills who has substantial experience in direct delivery of clinical pharmacy services.The ideal candidate should have a broad range of clinical knowledge and the ambition to develop this role.

This post would be suitable for a clinically trained Band 7 with hospital experience looking to develop. Experience in clinical trials or paediatrics experience would be desirable but is not essential as training will be provided.

To lead the Pharmacy Clinical Trials team.

To be responsible for coordinating the pharmacy service to clinical trials and research involving investigational medicinal products.

To participate in the pharmaceutical services of the Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. These services include clinical pharmacy, aseptic services and in-patient services.

You will be expected to take part in the weekend and bank holiday service and the out of hour emergency duty service.
