Cumbria Health is seeking a part-time salaried GP for their treatment centre at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven. The role, which offers Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship for eligible candidates, involves working 10-20 hours per week on an Out of Hours shift pattern, including evenings and weekends. As a key member of the Cumbria Health team, the GP will deliver high-quality primary care services, responding to a range of medical issues through telephone advice, face-to-face consultations, examinations, diagnoses, and referrals, while adhering to approved protocols and evidence-based practices.

The position emphasises the importance of health promotion and preventative care, ensuring compliance with quality standards set by Cumbria Health On Calls. Furthermore, the GP will be responsible for accurate clinical record-keeping and effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals. Our General Practitioners form an integral part of the Cumbria Health team, accountable to the Chief Executive and Medical Director. As a Cumbria Health GP, you will be responsible for providing high quality primary care services to the population of Cumbria, in an out of hours setting.

The post available is part time, averaging 10-20 hours per week over a 4 week rota. However, a job share could be considered for the right candidates. The post is for an Out of Hours shift pattern and comprises of a range of hours including evening and weekend shifts.
