The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Professional Development Lead for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to support the delivery of its AHP workforce strategy. This Band 7 role requires a motivated leader with excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with key stakeholders and managing training and development needs for clinical educators, mentors, and AHP students. Responsibilities include overseeing clinical placements for pre-registration students, maintaining a register of active mentors, ensuring compliance with HCPC standards, and leading the professional development of the AHP workforce.

Additionally, the role involves coordinating with educational institutions, providing training and support to staff and students, managing resources effectively, and maintaining communication between trust and university staff. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of current strategic issues in AHPs and possess experience in a training or development role within this context. The position emphasises reflective practice, continuous professional development, and the delivery of high-quality patient care across a multi-disciplinary AHP team.
