Band Consultant: £130,380 to £154,760 a year per annum  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

MENTAL HEALTH
The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist for the Hamadryad Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in South West Cardiff, which serves a diverse adult population of approximately 65,000. The role involves acting as Responsible Clinician for patients both in the community and in-patient settings, in line with the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Wales Mental Health Measure. Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or nearing completion of their specialty training, with flexibility in working arrangements considered. The enhanced starting salary for this position is £130,380, potentially rising to £154,760.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role offers opportunities for academic engagement, including research and teaching collaboration with Cardiff University’s School of Medicine. Candidates are required to provide references covering the last three years of their employment, including a contact from their most recent Medical Director if applicable.
