Maternity Governance / Risk Management Facilitator inNorwich inNorwich PUBLISHED 10 DEC 2023

Band 7: £46,148 to £52,809 a year per annum  PERMANENT 

1. Facilitate the work programme for governance, providing practical support to staff in order to improve patient care and patient safety, developing timely and measurable action plans to meet the required standards.

2. As an integral part of the Emergency department team, advise on local and national policies, which influence or may impact on services, contributing to the delivery of local and national policy initiatives and contributing to key performance outcomes.

3. To work with staff within all areas of the department, to ensure they have governance arrangements in place that are fit for purpose and reflect the Trusts objectives and priorities

4. To act as a contact point for Emergency Department governance matters and to provide advice and direction to all staff demonstrating a constant awareness of departmental issues, dealing with complex, sensitive and contentious matters.

5. To take a leading role in the implementation of the Emergency Department Risk Management arrangements ensuring that incidents reported are analysed for trends, issues identified and where appropriate, are populated onto the Divisional/Trust Risk Registers

We have an excellent opportunity for a Midwifery and Gynaecology Risk and Governance Facilitator to join the Women's & Children's Divisional Governance Team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The team is well established and has been recently reviewed by the CQC, the inspection rating was 'good'. You will need to be self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will take pride in your work, be highly motivated, professional, and have good organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail.

This is a busy role and the workload is varied as we need to respond to changing deadlines so you must be adaptable, have a flexible approach and have the ability to interact with all departments and posts at all levels within the organisation.

2 You will provide an oversight of the strategic and operational delivery of all aspects of quality assurance pertinent to the business of clinical governance in maternity and gynaecology,
