We are looking to employ a Clinical Practice Educator for Occupational Therapy, on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will work with students, newly graduated and existing occupational therapy employees across all of our Trust sites to support their clinical development.
This post requires expert clinical knowledge and experience within occupational therapy, to deliver high quality training, education and clinical support. You will be part of a newly formed therapy clinical practice development team, led by the AHP workforce lead.

You will be responsible for supporting the clinical development of Occupational Therapists and students in practice in partnership with their supervisors. Functioning as a practicing professional working directly alongside the Occupational Therapist in clinical practice is part of this role.
You will lead on design and delivery of the induction of Occupational Therapists and co-ordinate occupational therapy student placements.
Alongside the AHP workforce lead and other members of the development team, you will quality environment for learning and practicing is provided for occupational therapists and students.
You will work with the AHP Workforce lead and HR to plan future roles for graduating occupational therapy students in order to retain them in the Trust or wider health system. Participating in the future planning and recruiting of cohorts onto the Occupational Therapy Apprenticeship programmes is also part of this role.
