The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a newly qualified and accredited Clinical Perfusionist to join the Perfusion team at the Sussex Cardiac Centre in Brighton. The role involves daily collaboration with senior perfusion staff, supervision of trainee perfusionists, and management of extracorporeal circuits during cardiac surgeries. Candidates must be currently accredited with the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists (SCPS) and registered with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists (CCPS).

The Clinical Perfusionist will independently manage and prioritize workload, ensuring effective time management amidst unpredictable demands. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, managing various complex clinical data, administering drugs, overseeing advanced perfusion techniques, and maintaining life support systems. The role requires active participation in emergency procedures and a commitment to providing on-call services, alongside contributing to high-quality patient care in various clinical settings.
