Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year per annum pro rata  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY

The Children's Therapies Team is an integrated therapies team providing Occupational Therapy, Speech and LanguageTherapy, Physiotherapy, Specialist Nurse Advisors and Care Co-ordinators to children 0 - 19 years within KCHFT.We have Band 6 Occupational Therapy vacancies available on a permanent basis with opportunities in both early years andschool years.The post holder will work in a range of settings including clinics, family homes and specialist provisions, such as specialschools. We will consider full-time and part time options & flexible working.The vacancies are within the NorthWest Kent Team based covering the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Maidstone andDartford and Gravesham areas. The successful applicant will be supported by the Clinical Leads and Team Leads inNorthWest Kent and will join the network of Occupational Therapists working in the Children's Therapies Service acrossKent. Base to be agreed on appointment.We work closely with colleagues from other health, education and social care teams to provide an integrated team aroundthe child approach.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate a range of OT interventions that support children with a range of needs toparticipate in occupations of childhood.To develop integrated care plans in partnership with the child, young person and / or family recommending and supportinginterventions that are appropriate at a universal, targeted and specialist level.To actively work as a member of a multi disciplinary and multi-agency teams to provide high quality care to children andyoung people in line with our care pathways.To manage a caseload of children on a daily basis that includes children and young people with complex needs.To participate in clinical supervision and to work as part of an integrated team with Therapy Assistants, OTs, PTs, SLTs,Care Co-ordinators and Specialist Nurse Advisors offering support to colleagues as appropriate to knowledge and skills.
