The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant in Urology Surgery to join their Planned Care Directorate. This position involves working with a team of four existing urological surgeons to provide a comprehensive range of urological services, including outpatients, diagnostics, day case, and inpatient surgeries. Responsibilities will encompass participation in local and national audits, recruitment for national trials, and supporting teaching and training initiatives within the department. The successful candidate will also be part of a 1:5 on-call rota for urological emergencies.

The role is essential for addressing increasing demand in urology care and enhancing the quality of management for urological diseases. The allocation of duties will depend on the individual’s skills and departmental needs, and the position offers flexibility regarding Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs) based on output and alignment with trust objectives.
