The Lead Nurse at Barnsley Healthcare Federation (BHF) will serve as the registered Manager for CQC compliance and provide clinical leadership across all services. This role involves developing and implementing the clinical service strategy in collaboration with the Board and Senior Management Team while overseeing the maintenance of high patient care standards, including Infection Control, Quality, and Clinical Governance. The Lead Nurse will also be responsible for safeguarding adults and children, managing medication processes, and leading vaccination services. A master's qualification or equivalent is required for this position.

Additionally, the Lead Nurse will focus on the ongoing improvement of clinical quality and governance, support nursing staff development, and ensure effective communication throughout the organisation. They will act as a key leader in enhancing patient and public engagement, monitoring performance against standards, and addressing workforce challenges. The role emphasises strong leadership, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and a proactive approach to managing clinical risk and quality standards within BHF.
