The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Therapist (Band 7) to join its dedicated Orthodontic team within the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Department. The role involves managing patient treatment plans, conducting independent clinics, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality orthodontic care. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in orthodontics and be responsible for overseeing a small team of Dental Nurses and Support Workers, as well as engaging in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

The Orthodontic Therapist will work autonomously, ensuring patient-centered care and maintaining compliance with professional guidelines. Key responsibilities include providing clinical assessments, instigating necessary investigations, and delivering a range of orthodontic procedures under the direction of a dentist or orthodontist. The role also emphasises a commitment to teaching and mentoring students and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the department.
