Fortuneswell is a 20 bed in-patient ward specialising in the care of adults with cancer and haematological disease. The ward commonly manages patients who are admitted with acute problems relating to their cancer or to its treatment. We are looking for a healthcare worker who is motivated, enthusiastic and caring with a genuine interest in caring for patients with cancer at all stages of their cancer journey.

Experience of healthcare is desirable but training is available for the right candidate. Band 3 healthcare assistants encouraged to apply.

Fortuneswell team aim to provide individualised, compassionate care in a safe, clean and calm environment and to treat everyone with dignity and respect. We value the input from others to meet the needs of our patients.


Band 2 Healthcare workers Fortuneswell ward

Fortuneswell is a 20 bed in-patient ward specialising in the care of adults with cancer and haematological disease. The ward commonly manages patients who are admitted with acute problems relating to their cancer or to its treatment. We are looking for a healthcare worker who is motivated, enthusiastic and caring with a genuine interest in caring for patients with cancer at all stages of their cancer journey.

Experience of healthcare is desirable but training is available for the right candidate.

You must be able to work shifts and be flexible to meet the needs of the service. We are a small but very friendly team.

  • To Support the trained nurses in the delivery of care to patients.
  • To contribute to the cleanliness and tidiness of the patient environment.
  • To work within Trust policies and guidelines.
  • To contribute towards the smooth running of the department through effective team work.
