The role of Consultant Core CYPMHS with Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust involves providing strategic direction and professional clinical leadership within the evolving Child and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) in Leeds. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, enthusiasm, and the ability to address challenges while delivering high-quality clinical care to diverse communities. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, supporting new assessments and reviews, collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to GMC guidance. The position requires good communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to travel across the city.

In addition to clinical duties, the consultant will engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives, manage and supervise junior medical staff, and contribute to operational decision-making and service development. On-call responsibilities are part of the role, and applicants must be on the Specialist Register.
