As a Senior Childrens Health Care Worker, you will support the Area Care Team Leader (ACTL) to manage an internal care team, helping to deliver a first-class care service.

You will deliver care to children aged 0 to 19 years, within their own homes and in the community. You will promote positive life experiences and choices and make memories with children who may have short lives.

Youll be responsible for delivering high quality care and developing a team.

Youll build strong relationships with other carers and staff within Lagans Foundation and the families to provide exceptional care at every stage and promote internally and externally the amazing work the charity offers through donated and commissioned care streams.


Key accountabilities
of our Childrens Health Care Worker will also include:


  • Complete Level 2 TQUK Care for children and infants with heart defects and feeding difficulties.
  • Complete
    induction training
  • Complete
    leadership training

  • Manage the on-call out of hours calls on rota with the management team.

  • Support the Area Care Team Leader with team member supervisions and observation.

  • Providing exceptional care
    including feedback within dedicated communication channels for staff and managers and completion of visit records and any other necessary documents

  • Attend and co-host team meetings
    to share best practice, resolve challenges and offer morale support to others and continue team building.
  • Complete ongoing 6-weekly
    supervisions.

  • Support the Area Care Team Leader with team member supervisions and observation.

  • Always remain compliant.

  • Mentoring / buddying new members of staff
    following completion of probation.
  • Working to proactively to
    source additional activities
    for the children to engage with during term and non-term time.

  • Providing exceptional care
    including feedback within dedicated communication channels for staff and managers and completion of visit records and any other necessary documents


What Youll Bring

Were looking for individuals who hold the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working with children and young people
  • Clean Childrens Workforce DBS we can complete this application if you do not hold a DBS already
  • Ability to embrace and drive change
  • Positive work attitude and personality to uplift and inspire a care team.
  • Good understanding of the Care Quality Commission and what / why it regulates.
  • Effective prioritisation & time management
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to build and establish effective relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative busy team environment
  • Confident & skilled communicator (verbal & written English)
  • Customer service orientated
  • Good attention to detail
  • Resilient
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • You hold or will be willing to or are actively working towards L3 Health and Social Care
  • Full Driving Licence with own car (business use car insurance is
    essential
    )
  • Passion to embrace the charity vision and values, culture and behaviours.


This role will also involve travel within the Northwest therefore a full driving licence is essential for the role.
