The Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join their team at the Atkinson Secure Children’s Home in Exeter, which provides full residential care and support to young individuals with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs. The ideal candidate should have experience working with young people in care and be skilled in delivering clinical care within a trauma recovery model, focusing on therapeutic parenting. The role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality treatment and support for children placed under Welfare Orders, and fostering positive relationships to enhance their well-being.

The Practitioner will engage in comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, demonstrating critical thinking and safe clinical decision-making. The position emphasises teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability in meeting the diverse needs of the young population.
