The "Data and IT Officer" at Bury Hospice will play a critical role in supporting the Quality and Data team to meet quality, audit, risk, and improvement requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The position involves overseeing the management, maintenance, and development of both clinical and non-clinical IT data systems across the hospice, focusing on data integrity, accurate reporting, and system support for staff using various software programs. The officer will also be responsible for training staff on these systems, developing IT-related policies, and addressing data quality issues, all while adhering to GDPR principles and supporting reporting requirements.

In addition to system management, the officer will collaborate with the Associate Director of Quality and Corporate Services to drive performance improvement initiatives and manage service user experience feedback processes. They will provide ongoing systems administration for e-Rostering/HR and ensure proper data flow for payroll functions. The role requires troubleshooting and maintaining data security and integrity, as well as working with external providers to ensure systems operate effectively. Overall, this position is essential for maintaining robust data systems and supporting quality improvements within the hospice.
