The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) in Birmingham is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to provide practising privileges on Thursdays and Fridays at their Birmingham South unit. The role involves delivering deep procedural sedation for patients undergoing abortion care, managing surgical lists, and ensuring safe and effective patient care throughout the procedures. The Consultant Anaesthetist will also be responsible for emergency management, patient assessment, and guidance to nursing staff. Applicants must be highly skilled professionals with relevant qualifications (FRCA or FFARCS, ALS certification) and a minimum of five years in a consultant role.
