Are you a Consultant Anaesthetist looking to make a meaningful impact in abortion care?
BPAS are looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join us on a practising privileges basis at our unit in Birmingham South on Thursdays and Fridays.

Nearly all the women we see have their care paid for by the NHS.
As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will provide deep procedural sedation for patients accessing abortion care at our Birmingham South unit. You will manage two surgical lists on Thursdays and Fridays, ensuring safe and effective care throughout every stage of the patients journey.
This includes delivering sedation for procedures up to the legal gestational limit, responding to emergencies, and supporting staff to maintain the highest standards of patient-centred care.
