The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Locally Employed Doctor (LED) to join its expanding Thoracic Surgery service at Wythenshawe Hospital. This role has been created due to the growth of lung cancer screening initiatives across Greater Manchester. The Thoracic Surgery team, recognized as one of the UK's largest lung surgery centers, performs over 900 anatomical lung resections annually, with a significant portion using minimally invasive techniques, including Robotically Assisted Thoracic Surgery (RATS).

The successful candidate will work closely with a named consultant surgeon and engage in both surgical and outpatient clinical activities, gaining comprehensive exposure to various thoracic surgery practices. The team comprises cardiothoracic registrars at different career stages and offers opportunities for professional growth and training.
