  • Weight, height & BP checks
  • Testing and handling of clinical specimens e.g. urine dipstick
  • NHS health checks
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures 
  • Health promotion
  • Dressings
  • Act as a chaperone
  • New patient checks
  • Diabetic foot checks 
  • ECG's
  • Vascular QOF reviews
  • Ear syringing
  • Flu, pneumonia, B12, Shingles IM injections
  • Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment and consulting rooms
  • Phlebotomy
  • Administration of COVID vaccines
  • Vaccine / cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
  • Suture removal
  • Participate in practice audit as directed by management.
  • Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
  • Support and participate in shared learning within the practice.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our clinical team as a Healthcare Assistant.

We need someone to complement our friendly and dynamic team, who wants to progress their career further and who has a natural desire to be part of a busy health care team.

The role is very hands on and requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and ability to perform all the task require, which includes bending, lifting and moving. Please see the job role for details on what the role of HealthCare Assistant within a GP Surgery is expected to do.

We are able to offer full time or part time hours for this role.

The role would be based over our 2 sites to suit business need.
