Cygnet Health Care is seeking a dedicated Ward Clerk for their new Cygnet Kenney House in Oldham, a flagship Acute/PICU and mental health rehabilitation service set to open in early 2025. This full-time role involves working 40 hours a week to facilitate the smooth administration of patient care, including tasks such as accurate record-keeping, filing of patient case notes, and communication with clinical staff. The ideal candidate should have administrative experience in a hospital environment, be organized, and possess strong communication skills, particularly in handling data using Microsoft Office applications.

Cygnet Kenney House is our New purpose built, Flagship Acute/PICU & Mental health rehabilitation service located in Oldham. Set to open its doors inEarly 2025.

We are looking for a friendly, professional Ward Clerk with a passion for making a difference to others.

You'll be working full time 40 hours a week at Cygnet Kenney House, helping ensure the smooth and safe management of our care.

Developed in collaboration with the NHS to with the aim to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. There will be three wards at Cygnet Kenney House;

The PICU and Acute environments will offer rapid access to care, supporting women to move quickly and safely through to the most appropriate and least restrictive setting.

The mental health rehabilitation and recovery ward(level 2)will support individuals moving on from the Acute ward, as well as external referrals from other services such as secure, CAMHS, prison services and more.

Your day-to-day...

Assist clinical staff in ward administration

Ensuring accurate recording & circulation of information

File all patient case notes & conduct regular audits to ensure all paperwork is up to date

Complete all ward filing in line with Cygnet policies

Answer telephone, cover reception & undertake other administrative duties as required

Ensure that reports are submitted on time & that care plans are accurate & up to date

Liaise with medical secretaries to ensure timely submission of reports

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
