The role of Children's Speech and Language Therapist with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust involves providing high-quality therapeutic services to children with communication difficulties on the Isle of Wight. The therapist will join a dedicated Children's SLT team, responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing interventions tailored to the needs of children. The position emphasises a collaborative approach, requiring the therapist to work closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and co-ordination of speech and language provision.

In addition to direct therapy, the therapist will also engage in training and mentoring for families and colleagues, contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, and support the development of Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and students. The role demands adaptability, excellent communication, and a commitment to upholding local and national standards for healthcare delivery within the Trust's values.
