This role requires a flexible and innovative Speech & Language Therapist to work within a dedicated Children's SLT team and is committed to supporting children and families with communication difficulties. As a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist you would be required to provide intervention and support to children with a range of communication difficulties. You would assess, diagnose, plan, deliver and implement appropriate support to meet the identified clinical needs of the child within all their contexts. You would work collaboratively with and provide training, mentoring, and coaching to parents, carers, education colleagues as well as other professionals, ensuring a well-co-ordinated and effective speech and language provision for the children and their families.   To work as an autonomous practitioner providing assessment, diagnosis and management to children and young people with communication disorders, within the context of the Children's Speech and Language Therapy team. To work collaboratively with colleagues ensuring multi-disciplinary care planning and intervention. To contribute in a timely fashion to the process of assessment and review for Education Health Care Plans (EHCP), Continuing NHS Funded Care, providing reports and attending multidisciplinary meetings as required. Ensure suitable communications and behaviour at all times, in line with the Trust visions and values statement. To deliver effective training programmes to parents/carers and Health, Education and Social Care colleagues. To contribute to supervision and training of Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and students. Work in collaboration with your colleagues to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare.
