The Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for a 0.8 wte fixed-term position in Maidstone, focused on providing specialist care within a community Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway service. The role involves working with adults facing personality difficulties, mental health needs, and forensic histories, primarily in community settings. Responsibilities include individual and group-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions, pre-release work, and opportunities to develop skills in areas such as EMDR and personality disorders. The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision to students and probation colleagues, collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team to promote trauma-informed and recovery-centered practices.

This position requires engagement with a diverse team, including psychologists, social workers, and probation staff, all contributing to the assessment and treatment of mentally disordered offenders across Kent. The service has established connections with local probation and social services, and the role supports a culture of continuous professional development and high staff morale. The position is based at the Kent Chiron Community in Maidstone, serving a population of approximately 1.5 million.
