BLOOD TRANSFUSION HAEMATOLOGY HCPC NHS NIGHTS WEEKEND
St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion for their busy Clinical Blood Sciences Laboratory at St Helier Hospital. The role involves rotating through the haematology, coagulation, and blood transfusion sections, utilizing various state-of-the-art analysers. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, HCPC registered biomedical scientist who will participate in an out-of-hours shift system following suitable training. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality results, maintaining compliance with HCPC and ISO 15189 standards, and training colleagues.

The position is part of the South West London Pathology partnership and may require working across different sites within the network. Candidates should be prepared for extended shifts, including nights and weekends, as the laboratory supports a busy Accident & Emergency unit and provides critical blood products for various patient needs, including trauma and oncology care.
