Band Specialty registrar: £61,825 to £70,425 a year PA  FIXED TERM 
As an Emergency Department Trust Speciality Registrar, your role will be in the initial assessment and treatment of the ill and injured patient as well as providing clinical advice to more junior ED doctors and ENPs, where appropriate.

Youll become an integral part of our dynamic and welcoming multi-disciplinary team, where collaboration and teamwork are highly valued across our Emergency Departments (EDs). We work in close synergy with our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and Intensive Care units to deliver seamless patient care.

As of 23 July 2024, we have centralised the acute medical intake at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, so medical patients presenting at Cheltenham and requiring admission are smoothly transferred to Gloucester. Here, the Emergency Department is equipped with clear protocols for direct referrals to specialised units, including the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), Trauma Assessment Triage Unit (TATU), Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) for infants under three months, and the Head and Neck Short Stay Unit (HANSSU). Additionally, we offer a fully operational Urgent Treatment Centre, ensuring efficient care for minor injuries and GP-referred cases.
